10 Myths About Birth Control Debunked
Much mystery has turned it to urban folklore regarding the use of birth control pills. I’m sure you’ve heard a few of these, such as “It’s risky to stop your period” or “The pill makes you fat”. But thanks to an article that was recently featured on CNN, you can find out the inside scoop about these myths and why they aren’t true.

- It’s risky to stop your period
- The pill ups your cancer risks
- The pill makes you fat (and/or frigid)

- The sponge is as good as the pill
- Long-term use of the pill is a no-no
- Pill side effects last forever
- Taking the pill past age 40 is risky
- It’s OK to take any medicine with the pill
- The pill makes migraines worse
